I'm an RN, a writer, amateur genealogist, Adjunct Professor of writing, and Managing Editor of Literary Brushstrokes, an online literary magazine. I'm also a stealth reader for a literary agent, a new endeavor I thoroughly enjoy!
I finished a novel and refined it through three drafts. I queried after the third draft and am wondering if my query letter was a bit weak. A few rejections later, I realize I need to do a fourth draft anyway.
Meanwhile, I started another novel - the idea was so insistent that I couldn't stop myself from writing. So many ideas and so little time.
I have completed a 3rd draft of my first novel and having fallen flat on my face with the query process with a net result of 14 rejections (one very kind, personal one, while the others were form letters). 6 agents didn't answer my query - at this point I'll take that as a no.
I've started a complete rewrite of my finished novel. I have another idea and have started crafting a YA novel, now also a work in progress.
